Further information on Liang

Liang was born in Harbi City , Heilongjiang State in 1980. He studied Wu Shu Kung Fu, the national sport of China , and was so skilled that he gained a place on the city team, then the state team. He placed second in the All China championships at fifteen, equivalent to an Olympic silver medal, then decided ti join the circus.
The Heilongjiang circus troupe came second in the Chinese Circus championships, then went on tour to Denmark and America , finally winning the World Circus championships in France in 2002. The winning routine had a finale where Liang somersaulted backward through a hoop which was spinning. At six hoops high, this was the highest in the World. Liang came to Blackpool in 2004 to teach Wu Shu, and immediately won two British Kung Fu titles, He joined the Circus school shortly afterwards.
